Fiji - Samoa and Australia - New Zealand to meet in Oceania 7s semis

Fiji Airways National 7's team will play Samoa at 3.20pm today at the ANZ Stadium in the second cup semi-final of the Oceania 7's.

Australia will play New Zealand in the first cup semi-final at 3pm.

Fiji thrashed Cook Islands 57-nil in the cup quarters today.

Waisea Nacuqu who has been impressive scored two tries, Josua Vakurinabuli also scored two tries while Vatemo Ravouvou, Samu Bale, Paula Dranisinukula, Kalione Nasoko and Alekesio Vakarorogo scored a try each.

Jerry Tuwai together with Nacuqu and Dranisinukula have been giving strong performances throughout the tournament.

Fiji’s Coach, Gareth Baber says they are now expecting a physical encounter against Samoa.

Australia beat PNG in the first quarterfinal 22‑21 while New Zealand trashed American Samoa 58‑0.

Samoa hammered Tonga 45‑0 in the third quarter-final.

Also, the Fiji Airways Fijiana 7s team will play New Zealand in their semifinal at 1:20pm while Australia will take on Papua New Guinea at 1pm in the Women's competition.

The men's cup semifinals will start at 3pm today while the men's final will kick off at 6.46pm.
