Fifth FPRA Music Awards launched today

New developments with recent resurgence of live music in Fiji and talented composers will be given the recognition that they are due at the Fifth FPRA Music Awards that will be held on the 12th of May at the Grand Pacific Hotel.

FPRA Chaiman, Eremasi Tamanisau says the Music Awards being  launched this morning are set to be bigger and better adding that the association is still in talks with artists that will be performing at this year’s awards. 

He says that the 2018 FPRA Music Awards nomination submissions are now open and will close on the 16th of March.

Tamanisau adds that there awards have 15 categories and these include, Best New Artist, Most Popular Music Video, Best Hindi Song, Outstanding Service to Fijian Music, Best Itaukei Song, Best Recording Engineer, Most Popular Song, International Achievement, Artist of the Year, Best English Song, Best Hip-Hop Song, Hall of Fame, Best Composition, Tom Mawi Guitarist of the Year and the Tom Mawi Guitar Recognition Award.
