The festive season is a time to reflect on things that have happened and a time to celebrate life regardless of where you are.
These were the sentiments shared by Golden Age Home, Resident Benina Ciriavesi who is also the oldest resident aged 102 years.
While the home was being hosted to a Christmas party by the Ministry for Women, Children and Poverty Alleviation, Ciriavesi says that this is a time many of the residents at the home yearn to spend with their families at their homes.
She says in the years of being at the Golden Age Home, she has come to call many of the residents her family and re-minisced on times her family in Gau would break into song and cheer around this time of the year.
The 58 Senior Citizens of the Golden Age Home in Samabula were treated with a Special Christmas Party by the Minister for Women, Mereseini Vuniwaqa.
Vuniwaqa also gave a special garland to Ciriavesi as they celebrated her being the oldest resident at the home.
