The Vodafone Festival of the Friendly North which begins tomorrow hopes to raise funds to build a multipurpose hall in Labasa.
A spokesperson for the organising committee, Vincent Sahayam says the money raised from the festival last year and the money raised this year will go towards building the multipurpose hall.
He says the committee has also acquired land which was a big challenge for them.

The festival will kick off at around midday tomorrow with a float parade in Labasa town and the evening will be full of entertainment as primary and secondary schools will participate in a dance competition.
