Businessman Feroz Jan Mohammed who is serving an eight year prison sentence in relation to the $3 million scam has today filed an application for leave to appeal against his sentence and bail pending appeal.
The President of the Fiji Court of Appeal Justice William Callanchini asked lawyer Taina Leweni whether they are also intending to apply for leave to appeal against conviction.
Leweni replied that she is only acting on the instruction by Queens Counsel,Ian Lloyd who has drafted the application.
She also mentioned that they are looking at 46 grounds of appeal.
The case has been adjourned to the 14th of next month.
