The family of 10 who lost their home in a fire last Thursday in Narere are now living with their Church Pastor and are slowly picking up the pieces with support received from relatives and friends.
66-year-old Matia Mailekai told Fijivillage that he is still traumatized about what happened the day of the incident but is content that they were all taken out safely.
Mailekai says since the fire destroyed their home people have been bringing them food and they have also received clothes.
His quick reaction helped save his daughter and her one year old twins from the fire before it quickly spread throughout their house.
