The family of the late 28-year-old naval officer, Serevi Vananalagi Nabogi is still trying to come to terms with his death.
One of the family members Ledua Niumataiwalu said they still cannot believe that their brother has passed away.
She said Nabogi worked as a Naval Officer for 5 years and was a former student of Swami Vivekanand College in Nadi.
He will be laid to rest on Wednesday in Narewa, Nadi.
Meanwhile a post mortem has been conducted in relation to the 28-year-old who died three days ago and the cause of the death was due to injuries sustained as a result of the welding accident.
Police confirm that the deceased while welding at the Fiji Naval Base in Walu Bay, was trying to cut open a drum when it exploded.
