Families receive food pack

57-year-old Mirisoni Cavai of Newtown, Nasinu was in tears as she collected her $100 worth of food pack following the handover of charitable goods by the staff of the Mineral Resources department today.

Cavai said the assistance came at the right time.

She said they also receive the monthly assistance from Social Welfare which has supported her family.

She added the Foundation for the Education of Needy Children has also supported her three grandchildren who now attend primary school.

Five families who have been assisted by FENC Fiji received the food packs worth $500 which were donated by the Mineral Resource Department.
