Faith based organisations and community run schools urged to work with newly appointed school heads

The Education Ministry is urging faith based organisations and community run schools and managements to work together collaboratively with their new school heads.

Minister for Education Rosy Akbar says faith based organisations and community run schools and school managements are reminded to work with their newly appointed school heads to pave the way forward.

Akbar also says school managements are encouraged to conduct Annual General Meetings before 31st March this year and forward the Audited Financial Report to the Ministry of Education to allow timely release of Term 2 Free Education Grants.

She adds school management and school heads are encouraged to utilize the Free Education Grant according to the policy.  

The Education Minister says she is looking forward to a consolidated effort and more dialogue with all stakeholders to achieve targets set for this year.
