Fiji Women’s Crisis Centre’s Young Girls and Children’s fund today received $50,000 from Sustainable Mahogany Industries Limited and Pacific Western Timbers.
Fiji Women’s Crisis Centre Legal Officer Lili Vuiyasawa says this fund will help them provide education for the 45 children who were victims of sexual abuse this year.
Vuiyasawa says these 45 children are from their different centres in Suva, Nadi, Labasa, Ba and Rakiraki.
She says with this fund they will also set up a safe house for girls who are survivors of sexual abuse.
Vuiyasawa adds that they hope to establish the safe house in December 2016.
