Crisis Centre Coordinator, Shamima Ali said they are of the view that violence against women is happening and there are so many cases out there that are unreported.
Ali said efforts in creating awareness on violence against women is bearing fruit as women are now seeking help and speaking out instead of remaining silent.
She added that it is a long way to go and they will continue until every women and child in this country are safe and given the respect they deserve.
Meanwhile Police are yet to comment on the statistics.
