The Fiji Trades Union Congress has received a permit to march in Nadi to support the 170 ATS workers picketing outside the ATS compound.
Former PDP Leader Lynda Tabuya says the permit has been issued with a limit of 3000 people and the march will be supervised by Police.
When questioned by Fijivillage on Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama’s statement that he fears the march will simply be another opportunity for those seeking relevance ahead of the elections to try and gain political mileage on the backs of ordinary Fijians, Tabuya says that the first politician to visit the ATS camp was the Attorney General in his individual capacity to listen to the plight of the workers.
Meanwhile, SODELPA leader Sitiveni Rabuka says that it is very encouraging that Police have approved the permit for the march.
