The Fiji Sugar Corporation is happy with their budgetary allocation and aims to produce 2 million tonnes of cane by 2017.
The Executive Chairman of Fiji Sugar Corporation Abdul Khan says $11 million is a decent allocation for crop rehabilitation.
Khan says Fiji should be able to reach the position it was at prior to Winston with the funding.
Khan says maintenance work is expected to begin soon at the sugar mills in the western division.
The Ministry of Sugar is allocated $27.5 million which $23.7 million for capital expenditure.
