The Fiji Roads Authority is implementing traffic improvement changes to ease congestion at the Raiwaqa Police Post on Grantham Road in Suva.
FRA Maintenance Works Manager Aram Goes says they are removing the pedestrian kerb blisters to ease congestion, with work already well underway.
Goes says some of the other works will include the relocation and upgrading of the pedestrian lighting posts, installation of the required signs and additional line marking.
In order to achieve the most effective results, business owners are advised that this section of the road will be a Clear Way from 7 to 10am and 3 to 6pm.
Goes says the Clear Way signs will be installed along both sides of Grantham Road from Milverton Road to Karsanji Road.
For safety reasons the general public is strongly advised to keep away from the working areas.
The work is programmed to take approximately two weeks.
