The Fiji Roads Authority is raising concerns about members of the public illegally removing FRA road signs and cones from the Cunningham junction.
This is after an accident along the route had caused damages to the traffic lights at the Cunningham Junction opposite Fiji Dairy.
The Authority says this compromises the safety of the public and people need to be mindful that these signs are important to motorists and the general public.
FRA says these signage provide guidance on safety matters and help prevent accidents. The FRA is urging the public to be vigilant and report the matter to the Fiji Police Force if they witness such things.
Meanwhile FRA says works to reinstate the traffic signal will finish by next Wednesday and cabling and electrical works will follow.
The FRA plans to fully commission the traffic signal within the next two weeks.
