The Fiji Roads Authority is currently working on traffic signal upgrades, whereby 11 major intersections will be upgraded.
Fijivillage news had earlier raised concerns about the Kinoya intersection traffic signals not working properly.
FRA stated that this was due to an accident that damaged the streetlight pole which disrupted the operation of the traffic signals adding that the Kinoya traffic lights is also expected to undergo a full upgrade.
The Authority says that traffic signals at the intersection of Mark Street and Thomson Street, intersection at Cunnigham, lights in from Nabua to Suva and along Rodwell Road have been fully upgraded.
It says that teams are currently working on the upgrade of traffic signals at Grantham Roadd and also Nabua Nausori bound.
