The Fiji Roads Authority has installed temporary road humps in front of Vivras Plaza in Laucala Beach to address speeding concerns.
Acting Chief Executive Officer Robert Sen says this follows after the high accident rates recorded in the area.
Sen says they have installed advisory signs and new road humps which will reduce speeding on the road, however, this is not the instant cure for all traffic issues.
He says the installation of infrastructure such as speed humps was a last resort when all other safety measures fails and compromises the safety of general public.
Sen says they will have these temporary road humps placed until the LTA installs speed cameras in the area.
