Fiji Roads Authority has a large construction programme to complete in the North before the end of the year, on both the sealed and unsealed networks.
This has been confirmed by Fulton Hogan Hiways Construction Manager North, Scott Wilkinson who adds that this will ensure safe and efficient travelling for members of the public.
So far, over 40,000 square metres of pre‑seal repairs have been carried out on the road between Seaqaqa and Labasa.
Fulton Hogan Hiways Senior Construction Supervisor North Wayne Whittingham says they have been achieving good productivity since commencing this section at the beginning of last month.
Whittingham says that their pre‑seal repairs has stabilised deteriorated sections of the road and prepared them for sealing from Seaqaqa towards Labasa.
