As piracy continues to be a growing issue locally, the Fiji Performing Rights Association is calling on government to review the Copyright Act.
Fiji Performing Rights Association Chairma, Eremasi Tamanisau says they want government to include the internet component of piracy in the Copyright Act.
Tamanisau said internet is the driving factor in piracy locally and it is important that this change is made to protect local musicians.
Government last made changes to the Copyright amendment Act in 2009 through a cabinet decision.
