The Fiji Performing Right Association today announced another category for the FPRA Music Award to recognise artists whose interests are in the hip pop genre.
FPRA spokesperson Lice Movono-Rova says the new category will be called the best hip pop song award.
Movono-Rova says that they have noticed the amount of people producing hip pop songs and with the help from a few sponsors they are now able to fund such category.
She adds that the nominations for all 14 categories will be released in March while the FPRA Music Award will be held in May.
