The Fiji National Provident Fund has paid $10.4 million in flood assistance to 12,266 members.
This is more than 80% of the applications they had received.
Chief Executive Officer, Jaoji Koroi has urged members living in the Western Division who have received flood assistance forms to lodge their applications at their nearest FNPF office as soon as possible because tomorrow is the last day for submitting flood assistance forms.
Koroi has confirmed that a majority of the members living in the areas declared worst affected, have been assisted and the Fund is now in the process of closing off the assistance.
He says they are no longer issuing forms in the West and the focus is now on Kadavu.
He says the Fund’s teams will be based at the Government Station in Vunisea, Kadavu and members are requested to have the required documents ready.
Koroi says members do not qualify for this assistance if they do not live in affected areas in Kadavu.
