The Fiji Independent Commission against Corruption has been requested to carry out an investigation in relation to a special administrator in the Western division.
A concerned rate payer has lodged a complaint with FICAC alleging that the special administrator is involved in corruption.
It is alleged that the special administrator approved and allocated taxi bases to his son and his former secretary between 2009 and 2011 when he was the Chief Executive Officer of a council.
Meanwhile, FICAC said that it can neither confirm nor deny any details pertaining to any investigation that FICAC may or may not be undertaking.
