The Fiji Independent Commission Against Corruption is conducting awareness sessions, road shows, registering complaints and queries as part of its International Anti-Corruption Day Celebrations today.
The FICAC team has been travelling from the 1st of December to various parts of the country.
FICAC Public Relations Officer Nandni Vandhana says that FICAC’s Corruption Prevention Department has traveled around the country to disseminate information on anti-corruption.
She says that FICAC does this to take its services to the people that may not have access to it, people who may not have the means to lodge complaints and to people who may not know what corruption is or information pertaining to corruption.
She adds that FICAC has also conducted a Corruption Impact Assessment with public bodies.
Vadhana adds that FICAC hopes that this encourages all sectors of the community to practice values of good governance, transparency, integrity and accountability.
