The late President for Fiji Hotel and Tourism Association , Dixon Seeto

The Fiji Hotel and Tourism Association says it is honoured to have been invited to receive the remains of their long serving and much loved and respected President, Dixon Seeto upon his return to Fiji tomorrow in Nadi.

The Association and its members say they have been shocked and deeply saddened by Seeto’s passing away last week in Brisbane after being airlifted there after a tragic accident.

On arrival of the flight from Brisbane at 5.30am tomorrow, the Board, Secretariat and members of association will receive Seeto with a traditional Vaka Sobu, the formal receiving of a loved one and present their iTalaci, the acknowledgement that this will be his last visit to Nadi, before escorting him to Suva to return him to his family.

The traditional ceremony will be held in front of the cargo area commencing at approximately 6am tomorrow.

The Fiji Hotel and Tourism Association invites tourism members who may wish to join them at this time to pay their last respects to a respected son of Fiji, the tourism industry’s biggest supporter and advocate and the Association’s longest serving President.

Departure for Suva is expected to be at 7am.

Funeral arrangements are being finalized and will be advised by the family in due course.
