The Fijian Elections Office expects a similar turnout of pre-poll voters compared to the last elections, which is 76.8%.
Supervisor of Elections Mohammed Saneem stated that the target of the Fijian Election Office for every pre-polling venue is for 80% percent voter attendance, but for some pre-polling venues, the attendance is less than the target.
As of yesterday, pre-polling was conducted in 27 venues in the Central Division, 30 in the Western Division and 28 in the Northern Division and from the start of Pre-poll until 4pm yesterday, 474 polling venues have been covered.
Meanwhile Saneem says that the expected number of pre-polling voters to cast their vote today is 8,080 with 2,821 in the Central Division, 940 in the Eastern Division, 1,808 in the Northern Division and 2,511 in the Western Division.
Saneem says pre-polling in Lau had been rescheduled due to unfavorable weather. Further details are yet to be released.
