The Fiji Electricity Authority is exploring some of the ways where carbon footprint users can pay more than the ordinary people who use less carbon footprints.
This is revealed by FEA Chairman, Dakshesh Patel.
Patel says the Authority is also committed to renewable energy to meet the great need of managing climate change.
He says if the industries want to use more carbon footprints, they will have to pay more.
Patel stresses that the cost for renewable energy is high.
He adds that FEA is working as an organisation so that it becomes more sustainable to provide the required services for all Fijians.
The Chairman says that the Authority will have consultations with the respective stakeholders and will be submitting their recommendations.
