The Federated Airlines Staff Association is calling on the Acting CEO of ATS Hare Mani to step down from his position.
Politician Lynda Tabuya had a press conference at the SODELPA headquarters yesterday and said that she was speaking on behalf of the Federated Airlines Staff Association.
Tabuya claims that Mani has allegedly breached the agreement he had signed with CAAF ensuring that skilled personnel are carrying out the work at the Nadi International Airport.
However Mani says that since the 16th of last month, all flights have been normal.
Mani says that FASA’s report is based on their own perception on what has been done.
When asked on a suggestion made by FASA for him to step down, Mani says that the comment made is premature as they have received the document, acknowledged it and they will await it’s review before a decision is made.
Meanwhile, Tabuya and SODELPA MP Mosese Bulitavu have begun the collection of signatures for a petition calling on Parliament to inquire into the industrial dispute at ATS.
