The Assistant Minister for Agriculture, Rural and Maritime development and National Disaster Management, Joeli Cawaki has highlighted that one of their key rural development priorities for this year will be the establishment of rural growth centres in all divisions around the country.
Cawaki said developing growth centres in all rural communities will ensure that government services are brought closer to the people.
He said that all rural growth centres will have a post office, the office of the district officer and the Roko Tui, a agriculture, fisheries and forestry office and a nursing station.
He said that in the long run these rural growth centres will then be developed into Towns.
