The President of the Fiji Retailers Association, Himmat Lodhia said the stores which have opted to open tomorrow are urged to ensure that the employees have voted before going to work.
Lodhia said the employers and the employees are requested to ensure maximum cooperation and assistance for a successful and smooth voting tomorrow.
He said it will be a good idea for employers to open their businesses later than the normal hours to accommodate the shoppers to exercise their right to vote.
Lodhia added that the employees may go to work after casting their votes and should receive double pay for the work done as tomorrow is a declared Public Holiday.
