Employees and families from the US Embassy braved the scorching heat today to upgrade and install a playground at Hilton Early Intervention Centre.
Leading the team, U.S Embassy Charge d'Affaires, Michael Goldman says this is part of the US Embassy’s community outreach program in building good relationships within the communities in Fiji.
Goldman says that due to the works being done by Hilton for the caring of special children under 8-years-old, the US Embassy included them in their community outreach program.
Goldman says that the playground will feature two new slides which was donated by Sharanj Engineering Group, swings, a new sandbox and also the planting of trees for the beautification of the playground.
The US Embassy through the grant of the state provided $6,500 for the installation and upgrades of the Hilton Early Intervention Center playground.
