The Electoral Commission has returned the writ of elections to President Jioji Konrote confirming that the 2018 general elections is completed.

In his closing remarks after receiving the writ of the elections, President Konrote thanked the Fijian Elections Office and Electoral Commission for the work they put in to ensure the 2018 General Elections was conducted successfully.

Konrote said he followed the voting process closely on election day and he was glad to see the many Fijians who have expressed their satisfaction with the voting process by saying the process was so much easier and transparent.

The President has also acknowledged the many party volunteers for their hardwork in the last few days.

He also thanked voters for choosing to exercise their constitutional right.

Konrote says Fijians must now come together for the benefit of everyone.

He says there will still be disagreements but Fijians are civilised people and they must management those disagreements with civility and respect.
