The Multinational Observer Group has started the observation of activities leading up to the September 17th general elections and is now aggressively monitoring a number of things.
Observer Coordinator, Andrew Goledzinowski said they will soon start deploying their staff outside Suva.
He said they will not be able to meet every Fijian voter but they want to be as broad as they can and cover as many polling stations as they can.
In a press conference today, Goledzinowski said pre-polling is of great interest to them as this is something which will be managed in a particular way in Fiji but is broadly consistent with how it is done in other countries.
Fiji has invited 15 countries to be part of the observer group.
India, Indonesia, Papua New Guinea and Australia have been invited to co-lead the mission.
Former Deputy Prime Minister of New Zealand, Wyatt Creech has arrived into the country along with seven people from Australia.
Goledzinowski said a number of European observers are on their way to Fiji while Japanese and United Kingdom observers have also arrived in the country.
