Elections Office starts destruction of sensitive material from 2014 Elections

Supervisor of Elections, Mohammad Saneem shreds the first sheets of papers from the 2014 General Elections.
The Fijian Elections Office today started the destruction of sensitive material from the 2014 Fijian General Elections.
Supervisor of Elections, Mohammad Saneem says in the next twenty days they will shred about two tons of paper or an estimate of 1 million sheets of paper.
Saneem says they will start the shredding process in the order the ballot boxes are placed.
Saneem says they have a destruction register where they are recording what is being destroyed.
He says they will not be destroying invalid papers and assess it and prepare strategies so that these mistakes are not repeated.
