Supervisor of Elections, Mohammed Saneem said that the Elections Office has always had an open door policy when dealing with issues.
This statement has come after the Social Democratic Liberal Party
raised their concerns over the lack of ballot papers, voter turnout and the security of ballots.
Saneem said that all parties are welcome to forward their complaints and queries to the Elections Office.
Saneem said that the Elections Office will not respond to allegations or claims made by political parties and individuals.
Meanwhile, Saneem also said that the a total of 21 pre-polling stations were open on Friday and a total of 2,447 people voted.
Saneem said that the final day of pre-polling will be today with 1 pre-polling station to open.
He said that they will be looking at 4 people to vote today.
Saneem said over 8,918 people voted at various pre-polling stations in the North.
Saneem said the stats are very encouraging and is an indication of people’s willingness to make their votes count.
