An eight storey building is expected to be constructed along Stewart Street and St Fort Street in Suva next year.
This is after the Fund Trust Joint Venture announced the signing of a Management Agreement with Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group for a 130 room hotel at the proposed commercial complex development.
This is a joint venture between the i-Taukei Trust Fund Board and the Methodist Church in Fiji Holding Trust.
The project will include the NexGen Park Inn and the other space will be let out for shops and offices.
General Secretary of the Methodist Church, Reverend Dr Epineri Vakadewavosa says this joint venture marks an important step in the development of its properties for the benefit of its members as part of its New Exodus.
CEO of the i-Taukei Trust Fund Board, Isoa Kaloumaira says the board is appreciative of the Church’s participation enabling this development to proceed with the ultimate objective of generating a much better income stream for the benefit of their respective beneficiaries.
The opening of the hotel is expected in the second quarter of 2018.
