Education is the key to success in our children’s lives.

These were the words of Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum while speaking in his capacity as a parent at the Suva Muslim Primary School Annual Awards today.

Sayed-Khaiyum stressed that children’s lives are built upon a strong and stable environment and that stability comes from access to education, knowledge and information.

He says every child has the potential to become a very good student and has urged parents never to think their child is not smart or does not have the ability to do things.

Sayed-Khaiyum told the parents present at the ceremony that it makes a lot of difference to children to share their experiences at school.

Meanwhile, one of the school’s top achievers, Eshal Bari says she spent every afternoon and even weekends studying and preparing for her exams.

Bari, who wants to be a Marine Biologist, says it is because of encouragement from her mother and help from her sister that she has achieved the marks that she did.
