An early morning robbery has left a young group of flatmates distraught and seriously concerned for their safety.

A concerned resident of Ratu Sukuna Road in Nasese has told Fijivillage that early Saturday morning, two young men broke into their home and were able to steal valuable items.

He says items that were stolen included a laptop, 2 phones, a wireless modem and cash.

The 24-year-old says that the real concern was that money that was in his pocket at the time was also stolen.

He says that they were alerted when the girl occupying the third room woke up in shock to see the two men reaching for her phone next to her.

The resident says that they managed to grab her phone, knocking her over before they escaped.

Police Spokesperson Ana Naisoro has confirmed that a report was lodged at the Totogo Police Station reporting a stolen phone and laptop.

Police investigation continue.
