An early morning chase for four men who allegedly robbed two men along Victoria Parade resulted in a police vehicle getting involved in an accident.
The chase ended up at McGregor Road where the police vehicle was involved in an accident with an oncoming vehicle.
The four men were arrested and they are now in custody. All the stolen items have been recovered.
Meanwhile, Police Commissioner Sitiveni Qiliho says the damages caused are justified.
This was highlighted by Qiliho during the closing of the motorcyclists' course earlier today.
He told police officers at the event that previous police vehicle accidents within the force was a result of negligence and unauthorized runs.
Qiliho also highlighted that some officers are still treating police vehicles and resources as if it belongs to them.
He reminded officers that everything provided to them to aid their work belongs to the public.
Around 140 police officers successfully completed their one-week motorcyclists course and 6 officers are now qualified as motorcyclist trainers for the Force.
