Most farmers in Seaqaqa have been badly affected in the dry spell.
54-year-old livestock farmer, Mohammed Rafiq said his cattle have nothing to eat and his farm now looks like a desert.
Rafiq said he has to walk extra miles to collect sugarcane tops so that he can feed his cattle.
Same sentiments have been shared by Nirmala Wati who is a vegetable farmer in Seaqaqa.
She said the area is too dry to plant vegetables and the water sources have also dried up.
The 44-year-old said that about 100 farmers have been badly affected in this area.
