The 23-year-old driver who is charged with one count of dangerous driving occasioning death will be produced in the Suva Magistrates Court today.
It was alleged that the driver hit a 77-year-old woman in front of the Lami Police Station on Saturday morning resulting in her death.
The elderly woman who was on her way to visit a relative in Lami had gotten off a bus and was crossing the road when she was hit by the private vehicle.
She passed away at the scene of the accident.
