Driver lucky to be alive after vehicle plunges into a ditch

The driver of a vehicle is lucky to be alive after the vehicle he was driving veered off road into a ditch opposite the Pacific Energy Suva terminal along Reservoir Road.

Witnesses say that the vehicle had just exited the car wash and tried to evade an oncoming truck when the incident happened.

Our reporter on the ground has confirmed that police are yet to arrive at the scene.

The driver of the vehicle did not suffer any injuries and the vehicle workers at the container yard along Reservoir Road manage to help remove his vehicle from the ditch.
