The driver who is alleged to have caused the death of a Bangladeshi national and injuring a local man has been charged.
Police Spokesperson Ana Naisoro says that the accused has been charged with dangerous driving occasioning death, driving a motor vehicle whilst having alcohol excess of the prescribed limit and dangerous driving.
The accused will be produced in the Nasinu Magistrates Court at 12pm this afternoon.
The 57-year-old Bangladeshi national who was hit by a car in Nasole passed away at the CWM Hospital on Saturday.
The second victim remains admitted at the CWM Hospital.
Naisoro says that the two men were walking along the footpath near Nasole when the vehicle ran them over.
