A driver and a passenger involved in the fatal head-on collision between two vehicles along Denarau road in Nadi yesterday morning have been released from the Nadi Hospital.
They sustained minor injuries in the accident and have been interviewed by Nadi Police.
A 57-year-old man who was driving a vehicle involved in the accident passed away yesterday.
He was pronounced dead on arrival at the Nadi Hospital.
Nadi Police have confirmed that their initial investigations have revealed that the 57-year-old victim was drunk at the time of the incident.
The circumstances which led to the fatal accident is still yet to be determined by Police as investigations continue.
