Police special response divers have recovered the body of a man from a river in Kasavu.
The man who has been identified was in the vehicle which veered off the road and landed in the river last night.
The vehicle was located earlier this morning.
Police Spokesperson Ana Naisoro says divers are continuing with the search and visibility is very poor so they are yet to determine if anyone else is there.
It is unclear how many people were in the vehicle during the incident.
According to Police, an eyewitness said he heard what sounded like a car crashing and when he looked out he saw the headlights of a car sinking.
