The newly selected President of the Fiji-Papua New Guinea Business Council Div Damodar is hoping that his role will see an expansion in business trading between the two countries.
Damodar says he will also work on enhancing Fiji’s corporate dominance within the region.
When questioned if Damodar Group has plans in expanding its involvement in developing business in PNG, Div Damodar says that he is unable to make a comment now.
Meanwhile, the council has seen a drop in their members over the last year from more than a 100 to less than 40 now.
The council is hoping that Papua New Guinea will soon sign the Melanesian Spearhead Group Trade Agreement to improve labor mobility.
The council also welcomes the former First Lady Adi Koila Nailatikau as a new member.
