The refurbishment of the Doctor’s On Call Room at the CWM Hospital’s Children’s Ward has been praised by doctors that have been part of the health sector for decades.
This work was made possible by Digicel Fiji in partnership with International Women’s Association Fiji.
The work included a new teleconference unit, air-conditioning unit, new tiles, curtains, furniture, sink and painting.
CWM Hospital’s Acting Medical Superintendent, Dr James Fong says the works will allow doctors to talk and discuss on various issues and sicknesses with other doctors from different divisions and countries.
Dr Fong says that the refurbishment has also added to a greater ability to do something that is really important for clinical practice.
Speaking at the event, Digicel Fiji CEO, Mike Greig says that they are proud to have done this for the doctors of the children’s ward.
Greig also assured their support for the health sector in years to come.
Meanwhile, Bernadette Rounds of International Women’s Association Fiji says that they are glad to have helped ease the challenges faced by the doctors in terms of communication.
