As Digicel Fiji celebrates its 6th birthday in the country today, Digicel Chief Executive Officer Darren McLean said every mobile phone consumer has benefitted a lot over the last six years since the company entered the Fijian market.
McLean said more people now have mobile phones compared to six years ago and the mobile phone rates have gone down drastically from more than $2 a minute in 2008.
With competition, accessibility to internet services have also grown enormously in Fiji over the last six years.
McLean said Digicel’s $70 million investment project to upgrade the services is also about to be completed within the next few weeks.
He said the flow on effects from the investment are huge.
McLean said their main focus over the next 12 months is to maintain the competitive position and give the best to the consumers.
