People of Savusavu will have another way to celebrate the festive season following the announcement by Digicel Fiji on its naming rights sponsorship for the inaugural 2018 Savusavu Duavata Crime Free Festival.
The week‑long Festival starts this Saturday at Narains Park in Savusavu.
Digicel Fiji CEO, Mike Greig says that Digicel Fiji is happy to support the Savusavu Duavata Crime Free Festival this year adding that they have been supporting Duavata Crime Carnival in Labasa for a number of years now and they are happy to stretch their support to Savusavu and help promote crime prevention.
Digicel Savusavu Duavata Crime Festival Chief Organiser, Joseph Wong says they are happy to work with Digicel to organize this fundraising event for the community.
Wong says that the committee hopes this festival will raise money to purchase and install CCTV cameras in Savusavu town.
The Festival that is being organized in partnership with the Fiji Police Force will have various attractions during the week including a fashion parade show, children's play center, food stalls and live band entertainment with Fiji's Vude Queen, Laisa Vulakoro and her band on the last three evenings.
The Digicel Savusavu Duavata Crime Free Festival will be held at Narains Park, Savusavu from 15 to 22 of this month.
