Two people who were involved in the fatal accident in Ba yesterday are admitted at the Intensive Care Unit at the Lautoka hospital.
The other two passengers are still admitted at the Lautoka hospital but in a stable condition.
We have received confirmation that the driver of the twin cab that was involved in the accident in Ba is well-known rugby player, Filimoni Delasau.
He is still admitted at the Ba hospital.
A 54‑year‑old man of Maruru, Ba died after the car he was driving collided with the oncoming twin‑cab in Ba at about 4.15am.
Police are not making any comments at this stage on how the accident occurred.
In the second accident, the driver of a private vehicle died after the vehicle he was driving collided with an ambulance which was on its way to attend an accident at Navesi near Monfort Boys Town at 9am yesterday.
We are yet to get information on the passengers who were rushed to the CWM hospital.
Fijivillage asked police if speeding is the cause of these accidents.
Police say they will not comment as they are still investigating the accident.
