The defence in the Fiji Times Limited’s alleged sedition case has informed the Suva High Court that they want to make representations that the prosecution’s amended information is defective.
Justice Thushara Rajasinghe has given time to both State and Defence counsel to file their written submissions.
It is alleged that the Fiji Times Limited, Publisher Hank Arts, Editor Fred Wesley, Nai Lalakai Editor Anare Ravula and contributor Josaia Waqabaca made, or caused to be published, a seditious statement in the Nai Lalakai newspaper.
The matter will be called again on the 9th of May.
Bail has been extended to all accused persons.
